Join us at The Wynwood Yard for a fun, hands-on series of cooking classes led by some of Miami’s favorite chefs!

You and your dessert-loving friends – so everyone you know – will not want to miss this sweet class from Miami’s acclaimed pastry chef Soraya Kilgore. A Honduras-born chef, Kilgore began her culinary career in Colorado and continued her culinary education in Kansas and Chicago, before ultimately earning her Pastry degree. After moving to Miami, Kilgore landed positions at local restaurants where she eventually gained enough experience to open her own restaurant, Alter, alongside her husband. Alter has received numerous accolades, including a James Beard Award for Best New Restaurant.

Most recently, Kilgore joined the Design District community – the perfect fit for her cool and creative delicacies – by opening MadLab Creamery. The sweets shop kitchen is essentially Kilgore’s art studio, from which she wheels out desserts that look – and taste – like masterpieces.

The icing on the cake is that proceeds from your ticket will Wellness in the School’s programs committed to ending childhood obesity through nutrition and fitness education. This series is partially funded by Target Foundation and in partnership with Wellness in the Schools. Four tickets from each class will be donated to members of the community, including first responders and teachers.
