Magic City Hippies

After a long year busking in the sun-drenched, sin-ridden streets of Miami, Robby Hunter found himself being gently pushed farther down his path towards musical greatness. Moving bodies on the sidewalk with his one-man-band setup, Robby had been serenading the local co-eds for months until the local authorities threatened to incarcerate him if he did not "leave or play in a real bar".

Now it's five years later, and the Robby Hunter Band (Robby, guitar and vocals; Pat Howard, drums; John Coughlin, bass) is playing more than their fair share of South Florida's premier venues, gathering an ever larger following in anticipation of their soon-to-be-released debut album. With their first two singles, "Corazón" and "Hard On Me," Robby and his merry men are bringing a unique blend of Indie Funk and Hip Hop straight out of Miami and to the people.

Check out our music to experience for yourself the Robby Hunter Band and their fresh mix of hometown heroism and finely honed artistry.

Sound Off™ Silent Disco

Sign up and be able to enjoy an outdoor party with amazing music curated by Sound Off™ Experience DJs. You live in Miami — why be stuck inside a hot, sweaty club when you can dance freely while sipping on handcrafted beverages in a beautiful cocktail garden in the heart of Wynwood! With three DJs simultaneously spinning your favorite Hip Hop, R&B, EDM, Latin, and Top 40 tracks through wireless Sound Off™ Headphones, you’ll be able to switch between DJs and genres at any time!

What is Sound Off™ Silent Disco?

It’s the ultimate dance party experience. Wireless Sound Off™ Headphones let each attendee control their own volume and tune in to up to three channels of audio from a live DJ and genre-specific playlists. Each headphone channel illuminates in a different color, so you’ll always know which channel your friends are listening to!

FAQs

How do I check out headphones?

You may need to provide a credit card or drivers license in exchange for your Sound Off™ headphones at certain events. Your items will be returned to you when you return the headphones. If the headphones are not returned, you will be charged $100 to receive your collateral items (we would prefer not to do this).

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Tickets are transferrable but non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you can give your spot to a friend or use your ticket as a credit towards a future Sound Off Experience.

A B O U T U S:
We are Marlen and Olivier, a Cuban/Belgian American family from Miami Beach, Florida, with three amazing young daughters Caro, Nati and Vivian. Our youngest daughter, Vivian, was born with a rare epilepsy disorder about 4 years ago. As we researched about the disorder, we realized that there needs to be more medical research in order to find a way to cure kids with this disease. We also have realized, that we both needed to be home with her as much as possible to help with her daily physical therapy routines. Our goal is to donate some of the profits of our waffles towards the International Foundation for CDKL5 research to help in finding a cure for all of these kids who suffer from the disease.

Artist March Miami - After Party

Artist March Miami - After Party

Be a part of the worldwide ARTIST MARCH on June 14! Let's fill the streets with art, music, dance and performance to stand up for equality, justice, the environment and the arts. Miami's march will begin at the Old RC Cola Plant, stop mid-way for performances and end at The Wynwood Yard's open mic night.

SIGNIFICANCE OF DATE:

In the U.S., Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the country's flag – a work of art hand sewn by a woman, proclaimed as a symbol of vigilance, perseverance, freedom and justice. Let's take back its meaning – which should be freedom for ALL. We can also use it to creatively express our disapproval of the current administration's actions (i.e., turning it upside down as a symbol of distress, using multiple flags to form words like RESIST, writing messages of hope & inclusion on the flag, etc. We DO NOT condone flag burning or any non-peaceful actions.)

June 14 also happens to be the Electoral College President’s birthday. What better way to celebrate that day, than with the “gift” of protest art!

BACKGROUND:

The current political climate has awoken an irrepressible need for artists/makers to take action. It has been encouraging to see the multitude of creative people around the globe making their voices heard.

Historically artists have led the way for social change. We have the tools to inspire others and create the visuals of propaganda. The creative community is vast, diverse and intersectional by nature, representing every background, gender, religious belief, sexual orientation, ethnicity, economic status and age. There are so many things we can use art to fight for – including health care, immigration, minority rights, freedom of the press, freedom of speech, net neutrality, democracy, peace and environmental protection. We can also use art to fight for the arts, as NEA funding was recently threatened. Let’s unify all of the causes into a single march!

The specificity of protests for individual causes has been powerful and effective but it's time for a global show of solidarity. With art, we will express the world’s unity against the growing trends of nationalism, intolerance, division and authoritarianism.

While many individual artists, galleries and institutions are addressing these issues within the walls of the art world, we believe it’s time to take it out to the streets. If we stand together, who knows what our creativity can accomplish!

WHO WILL BE INVOLVED:

Painters, sculptors, photographers, street artists, designers, digital artists, curators, collectors, galleries, critics, museums, colleges, writers, poets, playwrights, musicians, dancers, performers, singers, composers, historians, filmmakers and more. While artists will lead the way, the Artist March will be all-inclusive event.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

• INVITE friends to this event & SHARE on your page
• If you or someone you know would like to organize an Artist March in another city, be an official partner, or help with Miami's march, please email artistmarch@gmail.com.
• Use #ARTISTMARCH when sharing photos of your city's event, or leading up the the event. If there is no event planned in your city, take a photo or video of yourself using art to stand up!
• Follow facebook.com/artistmarchinstagram.com/artistmarch &twitter.com/artistmarch for more.

Let’s fill the streets (and social media) of the world with art, music, dance and performance! Thank you for believing in the power of ART!
