Practices are 100% customizable in accordance with the practitioner’s personal motivations, and they can become healthy, strong and content while achieving their goal. Various modifications can be provided.A typical Universal Yoga asana class will be oriented around the idea of creating balance on all the layers of self (physical, energetic, emotional and mental) using the three main threads of yoga practice: body, breath, and mind. The primary goal of practice is not to target the body, but to target one’s concentration, focus and attention; to turn it all inward, creating a serenely stable inner-atmosphere conducive for awareness & personal development. There are four aspects of practice in Universal Yoga; To be karmically free, to be conscious and responsible for all aspects of practice and life, to be creative in practice, and to be compassionate, always. Yoga for Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief

AllTruWarriors and The Wynwood Yard support Puerto Rico relief efforts

At the beginning of every Yoga class, Founder of AllTruWarriors Andrew Weingart always invites his students to set an intention for their yoga practice. A quiet mind allows us to access deeper and higher levels of the self, so it makes sense to start a yoga class by finding your intention. However, Andrew plans to instruct this particular class differently for all attendees.

The intention for this donation-based yoga class is altruism; defined as the practice of selfless concern for the well-being of others. The AllTruWarriors community is coined from this term and he is a firm believer in serving each other to make the world a better place.  Register for the yoga class and stay for the Puerto Rico Relief Benefit Concert (more info here)

As you dive into the mind, body, and soul you will explore feelings of gratitude, unity, altruism, and peace.

Community Clean Up with DFO + UM

Community Clean Up with DFO + UM

Sign up and join us, Debris Free Oceans and UM Physical Therapy students for this month's community clean up. Working together to clean up Wynwood, we will make an impact on the neighborhood, as well as Biscayne Bay and our Miami beaches. Trash eventually makes its way from city centers like Wynwood to our waterways, harming marine life and water quality.

Meet at 9am at The Wynwood Yard. We will have refreshments available as you arrive (TBD). Grab your cup, trash bags, gloves, pickers, and directions, and we'll make our way through the neighborhood. We'll grab a snack and drink along the way... details to be confirmed soon! End at the Bar at the Yard with more refreshments, TBD.

Cost is only $20 to participate, and guests will receive an awesome Klean Kanteen reusable cup that will be filled along the way by participating partners! (It will also get you a quarter back on every beer purchased The Wynwood Yard when you bring your cups!) Proceeds raised go to Debris Free Oceans.
(Discount for UM students, available in ticket link).

The Wynwood Yard will be continuing with monthly community clean ups in the neighborhood throughout the year, teaming up with local non-profits and community partners.

Our first "unofficial" community clean up was on June 24th with We-CCAAN Teen Leadership, Culture & Service Learning Tours Teen Leadership, Culture & Service Learning Tours and in partnership with Dr Smood, who graciously provided refreshments for the 50 participants along their way. Thank you also to Radiate and della for end-of-the-road sips and bites.

Our first "official" clean up was a pub crawl pick up, and we partnered with Boxelder Craft Beer Market, Wynwood Brewing Company, Coyo Taco, and Saltwater Brewery. You can check out photos here.

Each clean up will take place at a different time of day, featuring unique non profit partners, and a different "theme." At each one, participants will gather and walk the neighborhoods along pre-arranged routes to help make Wynwood a cleaner place. Proceeds of partcipation donations will go toward partnering non-profit organizations.

Bags and gloves will be provided.

Complimentary snacks and refreshments will be provided along the way and after the clean up, depending on that month's partners.

A B O U T U S:
We are Marlen and Olivier, a Cuban/Belgian American family from Miami Beach, Florida, with three amazing young daughters Caro, Nati and Vivian. Our youngest daughter, Vivian, was born with a rare epilepsy disorder about 4 years ago. As we researched about the disorder, we realized that there needs to be more medical research in order to find a way to cure kids with this disease. We also have realized, that we both needed to be home with her as much as possible to help with her daily physical therapy routines. Our goal is to donate some of the profits of our waffles towards the International Foundation for CDKL5 research to help in finding a cure for all of these kids who suffer from the disease.

Universal Yoga is a multi-faceted system of methods that represent all the essential rules and laws of authentic yoga to be used for all individuals, and for any broad or specific goal. Universal Yoga teaches the yogic methods that enable any practitioner to create control and balance. All major ranges of mobility for arms, legs and spine are targeted. Universal Yoga practitioners must remember to BE TRUE TO THE ULTIMATE GOAL of YOGA.
