JOIN US to support Food Justice!

At The Yard, we believe every child deserves access to healthy and fresh food -- from vegetables to juice to lean proteins. Healthy young bodies help to nourish and develop healthy young minds. That’s why we’re expanding upon our existing Food Justice Program, to help young people from underserved communities throughout Greater Miami to experience first-hand the critical benefits of healthy eating, smart cooking, and organic gardening.

The K-12 program includes subsidized transportation, hands-on learning experiences in our garden and cooking areas, and artistic workshops. Your Give Miami Day donation on November 15, 2018, will allow us to cover the costs for each student’s activities, a nutritious lunch, transportation to and from the school, and reusable takeaways like plants, seeds, and more! All subsidies are based on a sliding scale in order to make the field trips accessible to all students in Miami and field trips will be prioritized to those most in need. We’re committed to food justice beyond excited to expand this endeavor -- this year our goal is to reach 1,000 young people.
