Kitchen & culinary skills labs for kids at The Wynwood Yard are hosted by the culinary pros at Skills, Culinary & Kitchen. Classes are age-appropriate culinary experiences that will enrich your child’s understanding of food and where it comes from, as well as sharpen their skills in the kitchen. We’ll explore all sorts of ingredients, from the farm to the table, learning how to harvest, prepare, cook and eat them. Little will your budding cooks know that as they’re having fun getting their hands dirty in the kitchen peeling, slicing, washing, mashing and whisking, they’ll also be reinforcing their math, reading, and science skills.
Join us for our first kitchen and cooking skills lab on Saturday, December 12, from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. Stay and observe your new kitchen mate in training making kale chips, delicious tea, and a yogurt dip using fresh, organic herbs and produce from The Yard's own garden. Or, you can always take some well-deserved me time munching on fare from one of The Wynwood Yard’s resident food concepts, or relaxing with beverages concocted by the award-winning bartender-and-chef team at Thyme, the Yard’s innovative outdoor bar.
