Earth Day at the Yard

Come hang with us for a fun afternoon of activities, education, workshops, movement and music as we celebrate our mother... mother nature!

This event is created is to elevate consciousness, create awareness, and educate our community about green initiatives and how each person can reduce their carbon footprint and make a positive impact, locally and globally.

Some areas of focus this year are: reducing the use of single use plastics, reducing food waste though cooking techniques and composting, sourcing consciously and locally, growing one’s own food, cleaning up our local communities, and creating more awareness of our local parks and beaches. The primary goal is to introduce our community to a variety of people, ideas, concepts, businesses, flavors, and avenues to get involved in more environmentally conscious ways.

There will be layered activities and programming throughout the entire day, including:
+Live music with Keith Johns (2-4pm)
+Yoga with Dawnbyoga and Ahana Yoga (12-1pm)
+Cooking demos and hands-on classes in the “Yard Box"
+Info booths +Awesomely Done Photobooth

+Sustainably focused food and beverage offerings throughout the event, including bar specials with proceeds going back to local environmental non profits. Watch for Saltwater Brewery and Not Another Organic Brand, among others.

As the festival winds down, our environmental activism gets going at 4:30 with a collaborative community clean up with Surfrider Foundation Miami Chapter and Debris Free Oceans.
